Artwork File Considerations

• Resolution: The higher the resolution of your bitmap, the better the end result. 300 dpi bitmaps at 200% of the final output size are preferable.

• Vector vs. Bitmap: Vector based artwork is resolution independent and can be scaled to any size without loss of detail. Bitmaps are comprised of pixels that enlarge when the image is enlarged. The larger a bitmap gets, the more the pixels will be visible.

• Gradients: Be aware of gradients. Gradients can not be reproduced on any laser engraved product. Limited gradients can be printed subject to art approval. Full color and gradient imprinting is available on all vinyl or domed imprinted products.

• Black and White vs. Color: Black and white line art or separated color art is required. Multi-color bitmaps are not acceptable as they cannot be traced into the separated colors. Multi-color bitmaps are acceptable if the colors do not overlap.
